It’s gray here in Ohio. Forty degrees and gray. A cold front’s moving in, but for now there is still mud. Mud and ice. Thick, red, iron-rich Ohio clay and the last remnants of yesterday’s snow. The lake is frozen over, just a thin sheen of ice, easily crushed by a boot but strong enough to support delicate paws. Continue reading
